About

Hi, Thanks for visiting

My name is Lisa Mikulski and I am a graphic designer and writer. This is my blog.  I like to write about art, design, freelancing, writing and current events. During the last ten years, I’ve met and worked with artists, sculptors, photographers, gallery owners, art organizers, students and graphic designers.  I conceptualized and started this blog for not only creatives but for those who love art, design and culture.

For about three years I maintained a blog called, ArtLOOK.  It was a lot of fun and through that blog I made some great friends and picked up some freelance jobs for design and writing. The decision to create another blog, this one, was difficult as I knew I would have to leave ArtLOOK behind.  I decided to take the risk on re-establishing my blog here at lisamikulski.com and so…here we are.

Posts will include articles and interviews; artist, book and gallery reviews; profiles of amazing and extraordinary people (profiles will be few and far between because truly extraordinary people are hard to come by:), art management and marketing tips and ways to incorporate art and design into your life.

I’ve also recently started a new project, Creative Arts Guide, that embraces all the creative arts.  My partners and I endeavor to unite an artistic community celebrating the poet, the painter and the pianist. We will be searching for fresh ideas, emerging artists and new visions and will bring these things to the forefront of the New England Art Scene. We invite you to join us at Facebook, Twitter and at www.creativeartsguide.com.

I write for the following publications:

INK publications
ArtScope Magazine
Shoreline Out and About
and Creative Arts Guide.

My websites:
Dragonfly Blu Design – Graphic Design and Art Marketing
Lisa Mikulski – Freelance Writing: Editorial, Feature, Copywriting

AIGA CT – Public Relations Chair

Congratulations on taking this step. I am sure it will pay off. “Challenging, Artistic and Original!”

When do I get to see you in person?
